Hose Replacement Services in Qatar

Rubber hoses carry coolant, air, fuel vapour and refrigerant around the engine bay. They sit next to hot metal all day, and in Qatar's climate they harden, crack or swell sooner than many drivers expect.

Types of hoses

  • Radiator (coolant) hoses carry hot coolant between engine and radiator. A burst hose causes rapid overheating.
  • Heater hoses feed the cabin heater core.
  • Air intake and turbo hoses: a split causes poor running, warning lights or loss of boost.
  • AC discharge and suction hoses carry refrigerant at high pressure.
  • Vacuum hoses: small lines whose cracks can cause rough idle.

How to spot a failing hose

  • Cracks on the surface, especially near the clamps.
  • Swelling or a soft, spongy feel (check only when the engine is cold).
  • Hardness and brittleness.
  • Coolant residue, white or coloured crust, around joints.
  • A sweet smell after driving, or steam from the bonnet.

Radiator hoses and water pumps can produce similar symptoms. Our article on radiator hose vs water pump failure explains how to tell them apart.

Good practice

When one coolant hose has failed through age, the others are usually close behind. Replacing the main hoses together, with new clamps, and refilling with the correct coolant type is often better value than repeat repairs. The cooling system must be bled of air afterwards to avoid hot spots.
